Extremely rare and highly sought-after.
Although she is Belgian, it is the Swiss alpine pastures that inspire the work of Anne Rosat. In 1969, she created her first paper-cut—a reproduction of a piece by Johann Jakob Hauswirth—as a gift for her husband, an antique dealer who had been unable to keep the original.
Since then, the artist has never stopped working with her scissors, preserving the traditional paper-cutting craft of the Pays-d’Enhaut region while infusing it with a touch of modernity.
Her talent caught the eye of Hermès, which, in 1997, launched one of its famous silk scarves (or carrés) featuring a design by Anne Rosat.
The piece has since become a collector’s item. It was reissued only once, in 2006.
